 I
learned Focusing in the early 80's when in graduate school.
Since retiring in 1998, I have trained extensively with Ann
Weiser Cornell, Ph.D., author of the book, The
Power of Focusing: a Practical Guide to Emotional Self-Healing,
and internationally recognized as one of the leading innovators
and theoreticians of Focusing. I have been certified by The
Focusing Institute of New York to be a Focusing Trainer.
I am committed to teaching this wonderfully empowering self-help
skill to all whom are interested.
I retired from the community college and public school systems
where I worked as a teacher, counselor, and school psychologist.

Level
One Focusing Workshop: The Inner Relationship
Prerequisite: An individual guided phone session prior to the
beginning of class.
Are you going through a time of transition or facing one or
more difficult decisions? Would you like to get off the merry-go-round
of repetitive feelings and thoughts? Or maybe you would like
to access and support the positive and creative life energy
within you and ground your spirituality. Empower yourself: learn
Focusing, shown by research to be the core of successful personal
change. The essence of Focusing is a compassionate relationship
with our inner self. We become aware of something inside us
that is wanting to give its message, yearning to be known. We
begin to build trust in this inner relationship, and to receive
the gifts that come from listening within. In this workshop
you will learn how to: create a safe and nurturing inner climate
for listening to yourself; identify felt senses in your body;
enable the felt sense to communicate its message to you; be
a facilitative companion to another person who is Focusing;
and Focus with the support of another person who is listening.

Level One Focusing Workshops are offered regularly.
