My Focusing studies began in 1989 while completing my M.A. with the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA. In 2006 I attained Focusing certification with Ann Weiser Cornell and John Amodeo.
Inner Relationship Focusing is now an integral component of all the programs I teach through my Joy in Movement Studio in Vancouver. The curriculum also includes T’ai Chi and Feldenkrais® based classes and tutorials in Awareness Through Movement®
Bones for Life®
Sounder Sleep System®
My background includes twenty years of dancing and teaching classical ballet, T’ai Chi and Tui Na (Acupressure) in both England and North America. I completed two years of study in community psychotherapy with R.D.Laing and Francis Huxley at the Integral Therapy Association and the Philadelphia Association in London. I have participated in Quaker Meetings for Worship since I was fifteen years old. During the two year convalescence after my back was broken, I also pursued an in-depth study of Pranayama Yoga.
As a teacher of Inner Relationship Focusing, I have been particularly influenced by Ann’s expertise in linguistics and the gradual and secure building of a foundation of Focusing skills.
